Movie facts to swallow whole like a movie-loving boa constrictor

Time to unhinge that jaw and slowly work these down with those throat muscles! Sorry, that got a little graphic, didn't it? Honestly, we don't know where we got that snake analogy from, since there isn't even a fact about Anaconda or Snakes on a Plane in this list.

Oh! We know where we got it from. That snake of a coworker strolling around the Cracked office right now. We won't mention any names, but man is this dude a real nightmare. The only good thing he's ever done is remind us about snakes in the first place. Without that, we wouldn't have come up with that sweet opening line about taking in this list of movie facts in one bite.

Apologies in advance for all the snake-related pre-list blurbs in the near future.

Hannibal Lecter

Hannibal Lecter was partly inspired by Anthony Hopkins' drama school teacher. His movement teacher Christopher Fettes had a cutting voice, and he would slice you to pieces. His analysis of what you were doing was so precise. So he made Lecter act the same way in Silence of the Lambs. NOW YOU KNOW CRACKED.COM

The Day The Earth Stood Still

Classic Hollywood Movies Original vs. Remake 1951 The Day the Earth Stood Still The original is a classic of Cold War sci-fi- smart, with great FX for its time, and helmed by the underrated Robert Wise. The remake with Keanu Reeves tried to be gritty but came off as bland, and relied too much on CGI. 2008 CRACKED.COM

John Wick: Chapter 3

Halle Berry spent 3-4 hours a day training dogs for John Wick: Chapter 3. It came after three hours of martial arts training and two hours of gun training. She didn't have to train dogs, but she did it just to be able to say she could. NOW YOU KNOW CRACKED.COM

Wayne’s World

Edward Scissorhands

COMEDY NERD Turns out, Jim Carrey nearly played Edward Scissorhands in, well, Edward Scissorhands. Не was one of the actors they were looking at-but, at that point (in 1990), Carrey didn't have a lot of experience in drama, and that might have nixed the deal. CRACKED.COM

Seabiscuit

CRACKED.COM Seabiscuit Seabiscuit was played by ten horses. The multiplicity of horse actors was to get a good performance for the cameras and not tire a single horse out. Plus, some horses were better behaved than others for quieter, dialogue-heavy scenes.

Mean Girls 2

WORST SEQUELS EVER MEAN GIRLS 2 At the end of Mean Girls the Plastics realize they're, well, mean girls, and we even see Regina George becoming a better person-so of course, the crappy sequel had to ditch all that. The only continuity between both movies is Principal Duvall, played by the great Tim Meadows (God bless his soul). CRACKED.COM

Forrest Gump

CRACKED.COM Movie: Forrest Gump Inspiration: Norman Rockwell's art Director Robert Zemeckis used the work of the classic American painter to shape the look and feel of Greenbow, the fictional Alabama town where Forrest grew up. Rockwell's painting Girl with Black Eye was also recreated in the scene where Gump waits for his mother outside the principal's office (minus the black eye).
