Jon Stewart is aware of his place in President Trump’s feud against late night. On a new episode of Stewart’s podcast The Weekly Show, The Daily Show host has a theory about why Trump hasn’t singled him out in a while. “I’ve had my experiences with him in the past,” Stewart reminisced. “I take great pride in the fact that Donald Trump once, at 2:30 a.m., just tweeted, I think in all caps, ‘JON STEWART IS A PUSSY.’”
But in Trump’s ongoing effort to squash late-night, Stewart doesn’t rank amongst his colleagues. “There’s no question there. It’s a function of relevance. I don’t think we are on the radar,” Stewart admitted.
Stewart isn’t on Trump’s radar, but Boston Red Sox fans have zeroed in on Jimmy Fallon. Footage of Fallon cheering on the New York Yankees’ Thursday win against the Red Sox has added a new level of disdain for the late-night host, with one Twitter user jokingly saying they’d “snapped their copy of Fever Pitch in half.”
