Feud between comedy shows? We’re absolutely here for it.

The Simpsons are once again caught in a back-and-forth comedy battle— this time with Adult Swim’s darkly absurd Smiling Friends.

Back in May, The Simpsons parodied Smiling Friends in the season 36 episode “Estranger Things”, where Bart and Lisa watch a very familiar-looking show called “Screaming Friends”. But a number of its fans weren’t thrilled about it. 

Now, Smiling Friends has officially clapped back. In the episode “Squirm Returns,” Pim watches a cartoon that looks suspiciously like The Simpsons — with one small twist: every character is green.

Some fans are convinced the two shows are at war. Honestly, it’s the most entertaining conflict we’ve seen in a while.
