For his final episode, Marc Maron closed out WTF with Barack Obama. During the installment, Obama eulogized the podcast by applauding the decency and vulnerability Maron displayed in his 16 years on the air. “I think part of the reason you had such a big fan base during this 16-year run is there was a core decency to you and the conversations that you had,” the former president told Maron.
Obama went on to explain that audiences trusted Maron and tuned in regularly because of his willingness to “be vulnerable in front of people and let them know what’s going on inside your gut, there’s a power to that.”
