President Trump’s usual reaction to being mocked by late-night shows typically involves threatening the host or denouncing the jokes as “not funny.” But Pam Bondi has had a decidedly different response.
Over the weekend, Amy Poehler portrayed the Attorney General on SNL, alongside Tina Fey as Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem. Instead of sputtering angrily over the depiction, Bondi tweeted a screencap of the SNL duo and asked Noem, “Should we recreate in Chicago next week?” Which is a post much more spiritually deflating than anything Trump could hope to drum up on Truth Social.
At the other end of the spectrum, Chevy Chase’s ego will likely be inflated by his own version of events. A newly announced documentary, I’m Chevy Chase… and You’re Not, will be based on the fawning, widely-panned biography of the same name, and supposedly serve as an “unfiltered” chronicling of Chase’s life. The biography, which was published in 2007, skims over all of Chase’s wrongdoings, and was published before his controversial exit from Community, so we’ll have to wait and see if the doc fills in the blanks. Don’t hold your breath.
Over on Twitter, people are filling the timeline with unfiltered humor. Today’s funniest tweets include those about a child scammer, queening out gone wrong and a new Taco Bell menu item.
