Seriously though, folks, we admire the heck out of the fine folks who didnt just cave and rewrite a much easier movie moment.

They took the script seriously enough to bring it to life no matter how long it took. Its commendable because we know that wed have given up pretty much right away.

Avengers: Endgame

No actors were inserted into the Avengers: Endgame funeral scene after it was filmed. Everybody is really there. The Russo brothers (who directed the movie) called it the most complicated scheduling shot in the history of cinema. CRACKED.COM

Signs

Every prop and set in Signs was either built or grown for the movie. It took weeks to make real crop circles (including the ones that show up for a few seconds in a TV news report). CRACKED.COM

Django Unchained

The Django Unchained audio team recorded new gunshot and whipcrack sounds. MINNESOTA ALOO They went to Death Valley, Zion National Park, and Monument Valley to record, making sure to go when it was overcast to get a more reflective sound. They could have just used something from an audio library, but Quentin Tarantino explicitly wanted new sounds. CRACKED.COM

Spider-Man

In some shots, the spider that bites Peter in Spider-Man is a black widow painted blue and red. They put a cover on the spider, and painted the cover, to make sure the spider wouldn't be harmed (it would be bad form if spiders died on the set of that movie, says Sam Raimi). CRACKED.COM

Spencer

Kristen Stewart's wigs in Spencer took weeks and weeks to make. This process took about six weeks, and I probably colored the wig three times before I met Kristen, says hair and makeup designer Wakana Yoshihara. CRACKED.COM

Oldboy

One scene in 2013's Oldboy movie took five weeks of preparation. It was the hammer fight scene, and Josh Brolin said this: That was five weeks of prep and it was difficult, to say the least. It was difficult for me, and I'm an active guy, but I'm not that active. CRACKED.COM

Mission: Impossible 7

Apparetly, one Mission: Impossible 7 stunt took weeks of preparation. POLICE USI It involved a stuntman on a motorcycle jumping off a high ramp, and it's not just one of the most expensive action sequences that have been shot in England, it also took six weeks of preparation beforehand. Wonder Woman

One early scene in Wonder Woman required months of preparation. It's the one where the Amazons fight German soldiers - it also took two weeks to shoot. CRACKED.COM

Elf

Making Buddy's paper creations in the department store scene in Elf took weeks. Basically the set decoration department started right away making stuff homemade ... cutting out little dolls, cutting out little curlicues to make snowflakes. It took weeks and weeks for that alone, says production designer Rusty Smith.OM

Home Alone

It took weeks to find the right house for Home Alone's exterior shots. Well, we knew we were going to shoot in the North Shore, so we were in the Wilmette, Winnetka, Glencoe, Lake Forest area, so we basically drove around for several weeks until we found the right house, says director Chris Columbus.com

The Eternals

Kumail Nanjiani prepared for months for a dance scene in The Eternals. I took months of Bollywood dance classes to prepare for that. It's really a workout... and you know, there's like 52 dancers, and 51 of them are professional dancers, and then there's me! he said. CRACKED.COM

Shooting the apartment building interiors in Blade Runner was a slog. They used a real office building - so they'd start shooting at 6 PM, and they'd have to clean up the barrelfuls of cork they covered the floor with (to soak up water from their rain machine) and mop up the floors by 6 AM, every day. Pixar wrote a new program just for Merida's hair in Brave. And her hair is made up of over 1,500 individual, hand-sculpted strands. CRACKED.COM

Tom Cruise had to walk through a door 95 times for Eyes Wide Shut. Due to Stanley Kubrick's infamous perfectionism, Cruise had to do 95 takes of a minor, random scene where he walks through a door. It's so minor, nobody even knows where in the movie it pops up. CRACKED.COM

City Lights

Charlie Chaplin made an actress do over 300 takes of a super-simple scene. In 1931's City Lights, Virginia Cherrill plays a flower girl who offers Chaplin's character a flower, saying Flower, sir? And she had to do this 342 times (and it was a silent movie). CRACKED.COM

Home Alone (Again)

They took Home Alone's movie-within-a-movie super seriously. They tracked down the Tommy gun that James Cagney used in 1935's G Men, and used that. CRACKED.COM

James Cameron spent two days making sure the piece of wood that saves Rose in Titanic was the right weight. He was in the water himself, putting actors on that piece of wood, all to make sure it would be exactly buoyant enough to support one person for three hours. CRACKED.COM
