48 of the Funniest Burns from the Week of March 24, 2025

Days after The Atlantic’s editor-in-chief revealed he’d been mistakenly added to a group chat about military strikes in Yemen, FBI Director Kash Patel found himself with a whole lot of ‘splaining to do. Patel — who wasn’t actually a part of the now-infamous Signal chat — addressed the Senate Intelligence Committee alongside Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard and CIA Director John Ratcliffe the next day, offering nothing but evasion during his testimony. Noting that he hadn’t perused the now-published messages, Patel remained tight-lipped on whether the Bureau would investigate the incident.
But to Twitter user mrpxssy, Patel’s answers — or lack thereof — played second fiddle to another facet of his Congressional appearance: his resting shart face. “He always looks like he just sharted,” they captioned a screengrab.
Concern for Patel’s underwear wasn’t the only thing that inspired social media slights this week either. The spiciest burns included digs at Ayn Rand fans, Macklemore lyrics and Dasani’s uncanny resemblance to what’s been inside of a water gun.
