50 of the Funniest Burns from the Week of February 17, 2025

Judd Apatow knows that R-rated comedies have been missing from theaters for a while now, and he’s not happy about it. The king of the genre, who is responsible for movies like Superbad and Step Brothers, told Variety that those films exist on a pendulum and can be revitalized with the help of “one great idea.” Apatow cited The Hangover to back his claim, saying that “if someone made something as funny as The Hangover right now, it would make a billion dollars, and everyone would be trying to do that.”
One Twitter user retorted, however, that “if someone made The Hangover today, it would have been dumped on Prime Video in March.”
At least the Golden Globe-winning comedy wasn’t the only thing to take a beating this week. Other digital burn victims included the so-called “king” of the jungle, a real pointless liquid and the French.
