41 of the Funniest Tweets from the Week of February 3, 2025

It’s the first week of February, and we’ve already gotten a month’s worth of news from one woman alone. After Emilia Pérez star Karla Sofía Gascón’s racist tweets resurfaced, Netflix has been scrambling to save the film’s Oscar fate, and Oscars host Conan O’Brien is scrambling to figure out the impossible task of how to joke about it.
In non-Emilia Pérez news, Marvel fans got their first real look at the studio’s fourth attempt at assembling the Fantastic Four. The new trailer featured Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as the titular four in their retro-inspired glory. While most fans saw potential in the movie, one very specific fan base wasn’t pleased. Ardent It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia supporters are still pissed at their failed campaign to get Glenn Howerton cast as Mr. Fantastic.
And Will Forte isn’t cutting Warner Bros. any slack over its decision to cancel Coyote vs. Acme. He told MovieWeb that it’s bullshit that the film was canned, saying, “I can’t tell you possibly why the decision was made to not release it, but it makes my blood boil.” He added that despite being one of the few people who got to see the movie, he’ll always talk about it because he “doesn’t want people to forget what they did.” “They,” of course, being comically villainous WB CEO David Zaslav and his miserable cronies.
The funny tweets have been rolling onto the timeline alongside all of this news. The week’s funniest tweets included those about writing tips, separating the art from the artist and a biblical edible.
