Just so we’re clear, we don’t share TV facts because we think we’re more knowledgeable than the average fan. We share them because we’re incapable of keeping them to ourselves. Somewhere along the line, watching TV turned into wondering what fun little decisions and details helped make these glorious shows come to life. 

It’s like when a friend brings you a spicy piece of gossip and tells you not to tell anyone else. That little nugget of info is just bursting out of you like a game of hot potato between brains! So we watch, we research, and we share. Not to ruin the magic, but to marvel at how it all works (and to save our now-burnt brains).

Buffy

When TV saves lives (or destroys them) House In 2012, a German doctor was able to diagnose a man with severe heart failure after watching House. The symptoms were almost identical to those of a patient on the show, and the doctor could figure out that the cause was cobalt poisoning. CRACKED

Britain's Got Talent

BRITAIN'S GOT IXLENT Alyn James was a contestant who had been judged to be under a serious risk of suicide on seven occasions, and despite the producers' knowledge of his vulnerability, he was invited to the televised audition anyway. It's Always Sunny

Mary Kay and Johnny 1947-1950 CRACKED.COM The very first U.S. sitcom featured the first time a couple slept in the same bed and the first time a woman's pregnancy was shown on TV.

Happy Days

What's regarded as the series finale of Mork & Mindy found the title characters running from an evil, gun-wielding alien. Pretty dark stuff for a fish-out-of water romp. Anyway, Mork decided to use time-travel shoes to escape, sending himself and Mindy back in time. The shoes malfunctioned, first dropping them in a prehistoric cave, then throwing them into a time vortex. Roll credits.
