The week started off strong with a dose of chaotic good. Rob McElhenney cemented his status as a man of the people by sharing It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia scripts on Dropbox for fans, TV historians and aspiring screenwriters alike. Then, Spirit Halloween told Saturday Night Live exactly what it thinks of the show. After the seasonal retailer was the subject of a sketch during SNL’s season premiere, it took to Twitter to fight back, saying that the “irrelevant 50-year-old TV show” comes with “dated references, unknown cast members and shrinking ratings.” 

Then there was the requisite dose of good news/bad news. On the bad news front, Jimmy Fallon is reportedly fearful that a possible cancellation could be in The Tonight Show’s future. On the good news side of things, almost 25 years after the original, Anne Hathaway will return to Genovia as Disney announced that The Princess Diaries 3 is in active development. The actress is also rumored to return for a Devil Wears Prada sequel alongside Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt.
