Variety broke the news that the SNL alum is set to host his debut show, Idiotically Speaking with Chris Kattan, which will feature the improv skills that made him an SNL standout. Kattan will be joined by co-hosts Andy Bolduc and Joseph Nuñez, and the podcast will include conversations with guests followed by an improv comedy scenario. The madness is set to begin on July 24th.
In other news, it seems that a certain ghoul’s resurrection could’ve happened much sooner. While it took nearly 40 years to get a Beetlejuice sequel to the screen, original star Winona Ryder told Harper’s Bazaar that she and creator Tim Burton used to have secret meetings regarding a sequel after the film’s 1988 release. The meetings were so clandestine that Ryder told the magazine, “There were a lot of times my agents didn’t know that I was meeting up with him.”
