26 Wild Theories That Technically Can’t Be Proven Wrong

The universe is terrifying. Its vastness and complexity is more than we can comprehend, and thinking about it for too long will send you into a thought spiral that’s hard to break. The only thing that’s more terrifying than what we do know about the universe is what we don’t know, which is a lot.

Redditors have discussed the theories they have to fill in the blanks about time, reality and everything in between, and some of them are so mind-blowing that they’re impossible to prove wrong. I think we can just blindly believe the one about software companies creating both viruses and antivirus programs — no proof is necessary.

DynastyZealot 1y ago At the end of time everything is gobbled up by one single black hole, which condenses until it erupts into a new Big Bang. So we're stuck in a cycle of expanding and contracting over and over, each time repeating exactly what we've always done. You've read this sentence billions of times already and you'll read it billions of times more. 9 ...
tenebras_lux 1y ago Here's a crazy one. That the universe was created from a membrane between two energy fields. Energy from one field pierced the membrane and rapidly expanded like blowing a bubble. As the bubble grows the membrane surrounding it weakens and the energy fields outside of the bubble begin to affect the topology inside. This is where dark energy and dark matter originate from. 4 ...

donkeyhoeteh 4mo ago Recycling is a scam, at least in the US. Most plastics are produced and used by giant corporations in production and shipping and will never be seen by the public. Nothing I do is ever gonna change that. The US isn't capable of handling recycling. Most of our recyclables used to go to china, and now they just go to landfills. Most recyclables aren't actually recyclable. Most of the recycling propaganda you see today is actually paid for by the biggest plastic producers. 2.4K Reply ...
wheresmychin 4mo ago That the Imagineers at Disney World were certain that Hilary Clinton would win the 2016 election, so they started working on her animatronic for the Hall of Presidents before the actual election date to save time. Then when Trump won, they panicked and made the internal decision to alter the existing Hilary build rather than start from scratch. Omny87 10y ago Edited 10y ago Tanning beds were invented by vampires. You see, vampires can't go out into the sun, so their skin is naturally very pale and sickly-looking, giving away their vampiric nature. So they use an artificial sun- the tanning bed- to darken their skin so they can blend in with humans to better lure them into a false sense of security (spray-tan is too unreliable, as it can be removed). Not everyone who uses them is a vampire, of course; they offer tans to humans as a means to help fund their evil vampire activities, and
StevenMC19 10y ago We are simply a component of a cell in a much larger multi-cellular organism, in which the membrane is the borders of our universe. We, the universe, are expanding, until we reach a point in which it will die off to make room for a new cell. Stem cells perform mitosis, which we consider the Big Bang. 1K ...
