25 Nonsensical Rules People Had to Follow

People in power love creating rules for all the rest of us little people to follow. And while, yeah, sometimes there is one person who was the reason for a rule being put in place, some rules go to such extremes that they keep every last one of us in a chokehold. For example, there’s no reason for people who work in an office to have to ask to use the restroom. Adults capable of completing work in exchange for a paycheck can surely handle going to the bathroom on their own. 

Unfortunately, though, the rules below are both real and expected to be followed. It’d be a real shame if they backfired.

We weren't aloud to take them off in the summer unless it was a specific temperature outside. 5y ago I used to work in an office where you had to ask to go to the bathroom. They also had a very aggressive attendance policy. Someone came in with norovirus a few weeks into the new policy.
