In the least surprising news you’ve probably read today, Sarah Sherman says writing for SNL is “torture” and “hell.”
During a conversation with Seth Meyers on Late Night, Sherman described “Writing Night” like a form of low-level psychological torture, explaining, “You go to sleep with your eyes closed being like, ‘Think of something good. Think of a good idea. Think of something funny.’ And then you wake up the next morning with nothing. And then you crawl your sorry ass to work and you’re like, ‘Please, someone help me.’”
Over in Philadelphia, the Gang may be done thinking of good ideas. In an interview with Boston.com, Charlie Day says the 18th season of Always Sunny could be the last, but it all depends on FX’s willingness to renew their contract. “I think either this next season — Season 18 — will be the last, or maybe we’ll try to make it to Season 20,” Day hinted. “But we were having a conversation about it the other night, and a lot of it depends on FX’s appetite to keep making it.”
Thankfully, the funniest people on Twitter still have an appetite for making hilarious posts. Today’s best tweets include those about a purchase reward system, an ungrateful apple and an opportunity for Jimmy Fallon.
