48 of the Funniest Burns from the Week of February 24, 2025

Prepare for liftoff!
Jeff Bezos’ aerospace company Blue Origin has assembled an all-female crew to fly into space this spring. The crew consists of CBS Mornings co-host Gayle King, the soon-to-be-Mrs.-Bezos Lauren Sánchez, film producer Kerianne Flynn, civil rights activist Amanda Nguyen, aerospace engineer Aisha Bowe and pop star Katy Perry. Sánchez said that the purpose of this specific mission was to “challenge their perspectives of Earth, empower them to share their own stories and create lasting impact that will inspire generations to come.”
But after finding out about Perry’s inclusion, one Twitter user joked that her “album was so bad they’re kicking her off the planet.” In space, no one can hear you stream 143…; although, given the sales numbers, they can’t hear you do it on Earth either.
Perry’s waning career wasn’t the only punching bag for the timeline this week, though. Other digital burn victims included parents and their online blindspot, the Elon Musk of apps and someone who “by enlargely” deserves it.
