You’d think Spider-Man’s biggest fear would be getting clobbered by Sandman or losing his Uncle Ben for the umpteenth time, but that’s not the case for the latest actor to take on the teenage web-slinger. Hudson Thames, who lends his voice to Peter Parker in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, recently told Collider that his biggest fear before joining the Disney+ series was that it would be “annoying and woke.” But after reading the script, Thames said it was “great” and “so well written,” which must be a big relief for Colman Domingo and the other members of the show’s diverse cast and crew.
