The Lord has spoken to Danny McBride and declared that The Righteous Gemstones has run its divine course. Even with the addition of Megan Mullally to its cast, McBride said that the story this upcoming season made the show feel “whole and complete” enough for it to be its last. Along the way, though, McBride promises “incredible payoffs, twists, turns,” and of course, insane wigs.
Meanwhile, TriStar Pictures is revisiting the Labyrinth with a very unlikely director. After weeks of speculation, Nosferatu director Robert Eggers confirmed that he will indeed be briefly casting aside his classic monsters to direct some puppets in a new Labyrinth film. According to reports, the film won’t be yet another modernized retelling of the original, but a traditional sequel to the Jim Henson cult classic.
