Tim Allen is officially back for Pixar’s next Toy Story sequel. He told Collider that he’s already put in five hours of voice work as the iconic space ranger Buzz Lightyear. He obviously didn’t share anything about the fifth installment’s plot, but he did say that he’s recorded his lines up to the third act of what he promises to be a “very, very clever story.” Allen also assured audiences that the film isn’t just another soulless cash grab, noting that Pixar wouldn’t have asked him and Tom Hanks to bring Buzz and Woody back to life without a “brilliant script.”
On a totally different note, while most kid actors will tell you that they take notes from their grown-up scene partners to help cultivate their craft, one actress has admitted that it was actually her younger counterparts who helped her career. Yvette Nicole Brown told People that her first acting teachers were the trio of young stars on Drake and Josh. She shared that the Nickelodeon show was one of her first acting credits, and she studied Drake Bell, Josh Peck and Miranda Cosgrove to learn “how they were moving on these sets.”
