33 of the Funniest Burns from the Week of February 26, 2024
Whether we wanted it or not, we got our first look at the upcoming remake of The Crow this week, revealing Bill Skarsgård’s Joker-fied take on Eric Draven. It certainly got a lot of people talking — including the director of the 1994 original. Alex Proyas took a cue from Paul Schrader and went on Facebook to voice his opinion. The director mocked the character’s appearance, saying it looks like he’s having “a bad hair day.” He also opined that the new Crow could at least drink something “more badass” than a Sam Adams. Meaner still, Twitter users pointed out the inherent “goth gentrification” therein and likened Skarsgård’s appearance to the “I like turtles” Zombie Kid or an average Bushwick resident.
At least Skarsgård wasn’t alone in getting deep-fried. Other sick burns this week included those about a fit of diabolical proportions, a pair of perverts and a Big politician.
