Tk 'Not a Phase' Photos People Probably Regret Posting
The 2000s were a great time for kids and teenagers. Digital cameras took over the world, and you didn't have your parents gatekeeping the family camera or telling you not to waste film because the possibilities were endless. Infinite photos, infinite poses, but most teens stuck to the same ones over and over.
People were trying to look cool when nobody really knew what being cool meant or looked like, and that gave us some of the best years that photography has ever seen. Here are some ‘not a phase’ photos that people probably regret posting, mostly because it was most definitely a phase. A very embarrassing one.
Strange Poses

It probably looked better in their heads.
Avril Lavigne Fan

She probably got over it a few years later, but went full circle to become a full-time fan in adulthood again.
Bathroom Selfie

This sub-genre of photography gave us so much material.
Besties

Another sub-genre was taking pictures with your bestie, but none of the poses made any sense.
Toothbrush

Believe it or not, posing with your toothbrush was a thing.
Childlike Emo Girl

The mix of childish clothing and tough attitude never made any sense.
Escalator Emo

People being sad in places was the theme.
Duckface Era

It was too strong a trend not to join.
Undefined Aesthetic

What were we going for here?
Unparalelled Hair

Do we want to ask?
Heart-Shaped Friendship

Or something like that.
Impossible Hairs

That wasn't comfortable at all.
Defining Outfit

More than an aesthetic, your outfits defined you, so you really had to keep it up.
Boys Posing

What attitude are they trying to show? Are you asking me?
Renaissance Painting

Flawless composition.
Spiky Hair

That took a lot of work.
SpongeBob Fan

A different breed.
Twilight Era

A lot of people haven't gotten over it.
Yearbook Photo

One is not like the others.
Showing Off

Or at least trying.
