These nerdy little TV facts aren't trying to annoy your brain or anything, they just love it so much that they need to be around it constantly. If you've ever lived next door to your crush, you know exactly what these facts are going through. Trying to time your exits and arrivals with theirs just for that “chance encounter” is tough, but it's a tried-and-true method for a little extra face time.  

And hey, if they don't seem to be interested, you can always transform into a much cooler version of yourself without glasses or that high-pitched nerd voice. That's what these facts did, and we can tell that your brain is warming up to them.

King of the Hill

There was almost a live-action spin-off. CRACKED.COM A live-action adaptation of Monsignor Martinez, the Mexican soap opera show-within-the-show, was actually filmed. But Fox got cold feet about airing a whole movie about a gun-happy priest, and ultimately shelved it.

Show co-creator Shawn Ryan was in disbelief when NBC reversed their decision to cancel the time- travel drama after only three days. Thanks to fans who created a devoted online community and negotiations between NBC and Sony (the show's producer), Timeless got ten more episodes.

Conan

Recurring at Late Night Conan's Walker Texas Ranger Lever When NBC acquired the rights to Walker Texas Ranger, Conan pounced. Out of nowhere, he'd pull a lever which showed a Walker clip out of context. The pinnacle was a clip of Haley Joel Osment saying, Walker told me I have A.I.D.S. CRACKED

Canceled? Really? R BATMAN ABC decided not to renew the '60s series, but NBC offered to pick it up. ABC agreed but didn't tell the art/props department, so the sets were destroyed. NBC wasn't willing to build a whole new Batcave, so Batman met an untimely end. CRACKED

Characters that weren't supposed to last Steve Urkel on Family Matters Jaleel White's nerdy neighbor was only supposed to be for one-off appearances, but got so popular with viewers that he eventually became the central character of the entire sitcom! CRACKED.COM

Behind-the-scenes Drama Euphoria Barbie Ferreira had a fight with sam Levinson. Anonymous reports and rampant internet speculation have blamed Kat's reduced role on fight between the actress and the show's creator. CRACKED.COM

M*A*S*H

Benedict Cumberbatch almost played vampire Bill in True Blood. Yep, Cumberbatch auditioned for one of television's hottest vampires. No word on why he didn't land the part. Maybe an accent thing. CRACKED.COM

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel

Julia Child

Long before cooking meals on TV, a young Julia McWilliams cooked up a shark repellent during World War II, commissioned by the U.S. Navy. A member of the OSS (proto-CIA) with top security clearance, she was stationed in Ceylon (Sri Lanka) and China as the war went on.

SNL

CRACKED.COM Bill Hader's most memorable moment on Saturday Night Live was playing in a punk band with Dave Grohl. In a sketch about aging rock stars, Hader played bass while the Foo Fighters lead singer played drums. The comedian said he remained on a high for about two months after that night.

Geordi LaForge

Geordi LaForge was based on a disabled Star Trek superfan. His name was George LaForge, he'd suffered from muscular dystrophy, and he showed up all the time at fan conventions. The Italian dub of The Nanny got rid of Nanny Fine's Jewish heritage. The Italian La Tata (lit. The Nanny) was just a redub of the American original, but it made significant changes to the story, making Fran Fine an Italian immigrant and removing any mentions of her or her family's Jewish heritage. Amy Wong dated Ross. CRACKED.COM You've heard Lauren Tom most often as Minh and Connie on King of the Hill, and/or Amy on Futurama. But she's had a pretty prolific live-action career, including a 7-episode stint as Ross' girlfriend on Friends.

The Thing on TV

CRACKED.COM The TV version of The Thing is almost a different movie. The edit of John Carpenter's movie CBS debuted in 1986 was weird, even by TV edit standards. Not only was a lot of the gore cut out, but a voiceover narration was added in for some reason. Also, the ending is made much less ambiguous by heavily implying the Thing escaped.

The Boys

Turns out that, like so many of us, the 44th president is a fan of The Boys. That was one of Obama's picks for the best shows of 2020, alon with the miniseries Mrs. America (a slightly less surprising choice). CRACKED.COM
