Humanity spent hundreds of years watching birds flying and thinking how on Earth we could do the same. It took a lot of effort and technological advances, but we're finally able to fly thanks to planes of all shapes and sizes. That made some people realize that other vehicles can also fly if you try hard enough, but they shouldn't have.
Even the best planes in the world need to land after a long flight to refuel, rest, and recharge for the next shift, so we can't stay in the air forever. Everything must come down, eventually, but nobody said anything about doing it gracefully. Actually, on the internet, the less graceful you come down, the better the laughs, as long as nobody gets hurt too much. And even then, you'll hear people laughing even harder.
