You have to wonder what’s going on with comedians in Austin, Texas.
Earlier this month, Jordan Jensen was a guest on Stavvy’s World to promote her new special. Before disclosing that The Joe Rogan Experience was her next stop, Jensen launched into her opinion about feminism being “dead,” which quickly transformed into TERF commentary on the queer community.
Jensen learned she was in the wrong place for spreading her anti-trans message, as Stavros Halkias quickly stepped in to diagnose her with a likely terminal case of “Austin Trans Brain.”
People on Twitter applauded Halkias’ pushback, and joined him in frying the hell out of Jensen, but one Twitter user’s scathing response stood out amongst the rest: “You get to identify as a comic.”
The rest of the month on Twitter was business as usual, which means a lot of other people got roasted, too. September’s other digital burn victims included Kylie Jenner, Pennywise and Paula Deen.
