A Turning Point USA donation wasn’t necessary for Jimmy Kimmel to fully return to ABC’s airwaves.
Sinclair ended its Jimmy Kimmel Live! boycott on Friday, reinstating the late-night program to its dozens of ABC affiliates despite Kimmel’s failure to meet their list of demands. “We take seriously our responsibility as local broadcasters to provide programming that serves the interests of our communities, while also honoring our obligations to air national network programming,” a Sinclair representative said of their reversal.
Meanwhile, Pete Davidson is defending his choice to perform at the controversial Riyadh Comedy Festival, telling Theo Von that contrary to popular misconception, he’s not “in bed” with the Saudi Arabian government. “I just, you know, I get the (flight) routing and then I see the number and I go, ‘I’ll go,’” Davidson said of his participation in the event during an appearance on Von’s This Past Weekend podcast.
