Before Rose Marie starred in The Dick Van Dyke Show, she rubbed elbows with some of Chicago’s most notorious gangsters. As the daughter of a labor organizer, the late actress recalled becoming friendly with “the boys” in her youth, and even attended a dinner party at Al Capone’s request.
