In the absence of regular announcer Steve Higgins, Jimmy Fallon’s guests were Paige DeSorbo and Hannah Berner. Those names likely mean nothing to you, but the reality TV stars and Giggly Squad podcast hosts have a particular sway with chronically online Gen Z and younger Millennial audiences, and it’s clear what kind of vibe was attempting to be orchestrated.
While rattling off a confusing list of the duo’s accolades, which includes a sleepwear line named after DeSorbo’s cat, it became clear that Fallon was doing more of the signature pandering he’s known for, and that he was aware these two women are the kind of people who will replace him when Trump has his way. Hopefully, they’ll be kind enough to have him on as a guest when the inevitable happens.
