Jury Duty is back in session, only this time the show is ditching the courtroom in favor of a corporate retreat. According to Deadline, the new season will take inspiration from movies like Animal House and Caddyshack with a “David vs. Goliath” type storyline. The next installment, which several sources suggest has already been filmed, will find a small business on a company retreat where the real, unsuspecting person like Season One’s Ronald Gladden will be tested by the sudden appearance of a hot-shot big-timer.
Aidy Bryant is also getting back to work. The SNL alum will be clocking in for the second year in a row as the host of the Independent Spirit Awards. She promised Entertainment Weekly an “extremely fun” show, especially in the wake of “such an intense year.” Bryant shared that the Spirit Awards have “a looseness” and “personality” and provide a space for people to “blow off steam” and “celebrate some really great small movies.”
