31 of the Wildest Crimes People Have Committed

Everyone in jail likely has a family member on the outside who tells the tale of their arrest through hushed tones or stifled laughs. Thankfully, some of those loved ones are on Reddit, regaling us with stories that will make your jaw drop.

One Redditor managed to avoid consequences for his scheme, but the crime is so ballsy it’s worth mentioning. He worked at a movie theater when Back to the Future was released. Instead of tearing the tickets and giving the stubs to patrons, he kept the entire tickets intact and sold them to the next group of people coming in. He did this with another coworker for about a month, and racked up roughly $15,000 in all, noting that they were “the richest high school kids” in their town.

Other Redditors have shared the craziest crimes people in their lives have committed, with rap sheets including assault with a frozen burrito, retaliatory computer crimes and stealing a train station.
