55 of the Funniest Burns from the Month of December 2024
Chestnuts are roasting on an open fire — and so is Aaron Rodgers.
The Green-Bay-Packer-turned-New-York-Jet was poised to have a big-time second season with the Jets after last year’s near-immediate season-ending injury. And he made headlines alright, just not the ones he wanted.
The polarizing QB’s comeback year included a newly-released memoir and Netflix docuseries, both of which obviously hoped to capitalize on a Super Bowl run. Instead, Rodgers over-promised and underdelivered, leading the Jets to a disappointing losing season and extending their playoff drought to 14 years — which isn’t only the longest such run of futility in the league, but is now older than the Nintendo 3DS. In fact, one Twitter user described the Rodgers doc as “the inspiring story of the guy who bounced back from a devastating injury to do a worse job than the novice QB he was replacing.”
In short, he’s no Rudy.
Rodgers, however, wasn’t the only famous athlete getting sacked this month. Other digital burn victims included the mascots who were there for January 6th, a kicker who belongs in the kitchen and another former GOAT.
