43 of the Funniest Tweets from the Week of December 2, 2024
Another week is in the books, and so is the production phase of another season of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Star and co-creator Rob McElhenney revealed to Screen Rant that the long-running FX comedy wrapped up the shooting of its 17th season this week, meaning that the second half of the two-part crossover with Abbott Elementary is just sitting on a hard drive somewhere.
This week also revealed that Marge Simpson is one degree of separation from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The reality show’s new “friend of” guest star Jennifer Tilly opened up about how her marriage to the late Sam Simon helped establish her Beverly Hills-esque fortune. Tilly revealed that she got a “piece of The Simpsons” in the divorce settlement and joked that “nobody knew that (the show) was going to go for trillions of years.” In other news, Bill Maher made a promise he almost certainly won’t keep. During an episode of his podcast Club Random, Maher told his guest Jane Fonda that he might “quit” show business following this year’s election results.
Here’s hoping!
A new week also meant new tweets for the timeline. The week’s funniest included those about a singer with way too many questions, a use for 45 potatoes and a loss for the great people of Ireland.
