New York City hasn’t had a normal mayor since music still played on MTV, and Eric Adams is more than following in that (un)proud tradition. He obviously found himself in hot water thanks to a 57-page indictment tying him to alleged corruption that left much of his personnel behind bars or running for the hills. And yet, somehow, his alleged wire fraud isn’t even the worst crime he’s committed. If you asked the timeline for that answer, they’d cite the awful combination Mets/Yankees hat Adams wore to celebrate both teams making it to their league’s respective championship series. In fact, one Twitter user said they could excuse all the corruption but that the hat was simply a step too far.

Adams isn’t the only one reaching for aloe this week either. Other digital burn victims included a rotten Radiohead fan, a popular grocery store and an incredibly shiny 47-year-old who needs to act his age.
