Ellen DeGeneres took a page out of her staff’s handbook by seeking therapy. In her new stand-up special Ellen DeGeneres: For Your Approval, in which the “mean, old and gay” comedian completely sidesteps responsibility for fostering a toxic workplace, she shared that she was working with a therapist to “try to deal with all the hatred that was coming” her way. In particular, she recalled a headline that read “How Ellen DeGeneres Became the Most Hated Person in America,” and named several of those who she perceived as promoting that sentiment, including Sesame Street’s Elmo.  

Meanwhile, Hamilton star Daveed Diggs is set to join one of the most-hated groups of superheroes in the comic-book world — i.e., those on the next season of The Boys. Will he be a Supe? Will he lend his vocal stylings in an all-singing, all-dancing episode with Antony Starr and Karl Urban? We’ll have to wait until 2026 to find out.
