The Fall Guy is showing the stunt community even a little more love. When the Universal Pictures flick dives onto Peacock at the end of August, it’s doing so with 20 additional minutes of footage not seen in the original theatrical cut. With so much more action being made accessible to a wider audience, Ryan Gosling’s hopes “to get stunt people an Oscar” is one fiery leap closer to materializing. At the very least, that sequel script he and co-star Emily Blunt crafted as a writing exercise could become a reality.
Gosling isn’t the only one eager to jump back into a hot rod. Mark Hamill took a high-octane trip down memory lane when he made an appearance in Green Day’s music video for their new single Corvette Summer, which borrows its name from the 1978 film starring Hamill. The band shared that they wanted to pay homage to their favorite cult classic, and admitted to “blowing the entire budget” on the Star Wars icon.
