It’s generally a facet of a polite person to behave well when they’re a guest in someone else’s home. For the most part, it’s a rule that people follow, except for people that rapidly find themselves in less and less homes. But for whatever reason, when a visit or stay is in a hotel, and not an individual dwelling, some brains decide that all laws of civilization should no longer apply.
