Every time you leave the house, there’s a possibility that you’ll have a totally unremarkable, run-of-the-mill interaction with a stranger. But other times, you can have rare encounters that feel like once-in-a-lifetime moments. For instance, one Redditor remembered the time he was passing by a church where a man was standing outside. When the man said hello, the Redditor nodded and waved. As he kept walking, the man yelled after him, “You’re going to have a bad day tomorrow!” Sure as literal shit, the Redditor’s basement apartment flooded the next day from a backed-up sewer line. 

Was that man psychic? And if so, were his visions strictly relegated to excrement-related disasters? We’ll never know.
