16 Photos of What it Looks Like to Cheat Death

You don't usually cheat death on purpose. You just do the best you can in an extremely dangerous situation, hoping for the best, and maybe survive. In a lot of cases, however, you don't have any kind of input on the matter. You're just there, and luck saves you in the nick of time, while all you can do is watch and maybe pee a little.

There's no foolproof method to cheat death at the moment. Otherwise, everyone will be doing that. But helmets are the closest thing to it, whether you are a racing car driver going extremely fast, a soldier in the middle of a war, or a construction worker dealing with dangerous and heavy materials. Wear your helmets, folks, or you might not even have time to regret it.

So, here are some photos of what it looks like to cheat death. While it's not entirely gloomy, it does make you look at things from a new perspective.
