Humanity used to be on the same page on certain subjects, so we didn't feel the need to explain everything we were doing or were going to do. People agreed on the way of doing certain things, so you could be sure that delegating a task wasn't going to give you any trouble, because everyone knew how to do it right. However, today, that's a bit more complicated, and we're not on the same page about anything anymore.
People like to question even the most basic processes, and they think they came up with a fresh solution to a problem that doesn't really need it. Common sense is not having a great time, and you can see examples of this pretty much everywhere. Sadly, it's not something you can teach, so we might be screwed for good.
