Common sense seems to be a lost art sometimes. What was once part of human nature, an instinct everyone had access to, is now a rare item you don't see often at all. You should count yourself lucky if you see displays of common sense around you. Cherish those moments and remember them for as long as you can.
And even those who exercised common sense on a daily basis are now hesitant to do so. You might actually look like a nerd if you try to appeal to people's common sense, and you can't recover from that humiliation. So it's better to blend into the crowd, leaving common sense behind for a sense of constant wonder and a lot of failure. But as long as you do it with a smile, there's nothing to worry about.
