This means that not all our decisions can be the smartest ones, which is also another way to say that we're bound to mess up more often than we'd like to admit. But the most important part is not getting caught, because you could end up in one of these places.
Common sense isn't around as often as we'd like, and it shows. People are relying on other senses to solve their problems, and things aren't going too great. Thankfully, we can laugh at the outcome of decisions taken without consulting common sense, as long as those things aren't happening to us.
