Weeks after Sydney Sweeney’s controversial American Eagle ad, the actress is setting the record straight — about her months-old decision to sell a bar of soap infused with her bathwater.
Sweeney refused to address her great jeans/genes campaign during a recent interview with The Wall Street Journal, instead blaming women and 2023’s Saltburn for her now-dated bathwater soap debacle. “It was mainly the girls making comments about it, which I thought was really interesting,” Sweeney said of her divisive Dr. Squatch collaboration. “They all loved the idea of Jacob Elordi’s bathwater.”
Much like her ill-fitting jeans, folks on Twitter weren’t buying Sweeney’s excuses.
“Yess girl, throw women under the bus that’ll really help you beat those allegations,” one person wrote.
“Oh she’s slow fr,” added a second, while another argued that Sweeney “wasn’t acting when she played Cassie” on Euphoria.
