It may be October, but Quahog’s finest already have their eyes set on Christmas. Hulu shared a first look at the upcoming Family Guy holiday special, “Gift of the White Guy,” which is set to release next month. It will follow both Peter’s journey to recover a misplaced gift and Stewie’s existential crisis after unsurprisingly being put on Santa’s Naughty List.
Hulu also gave a pilot order to Nick Paley’s comedy Phony, with Connie Britton set to lead. The coming-of-age mystery from the Broad City director will follow “a teenager who wakes up in the hospital after a car accident to discover his mom appears to have been replaced by an impostor.” The project was initially set for development in 2022, but is finally gaining traction after the success of Paley’s work on Marcel the Shell with Shoes On.
