Margaret Qualley knows that sometimes you have to fake it until you make it. The Drive Away Dolls actress appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and told the late-night host that her music producer husband Jack Antonoff “lied for the sake of the family” to get her a role in Happy Gilmore 2. When news first broke of the sequel, the self-professed Adam Sandler “mega fan” told her agents she would do “anything it takes” to be a part of the film. Qualley then revealed that Sandler texted Antonoff asking if the actress golfed at all, to which the music producer replied, “Yeah, she’s actually really good.” By Qualley’s own admission, that’s not the case, but she practiced enough to get by for her part in the film, which she described as “the best thing that’s ever happened” to her. 

As for the other most popular recreational sport of our time, Ben Stiller is set to produce and star in a pickleball comedy. The Zoolander actor will support leads Jake Johnson, Ed Harris and Mary Steenburgen in The Dink, which follows Johnson as a former tennis pro who goes against his personal beliefs and plays pickleball in order to earn his father’s respect.
