Haunted house actors might be seasoned professionals, but there are still times when they break character. In fact, one such performer shared on Reddit that she once popped out at a couple walking through a haunted house effectively enough that the guy immediately ran off, leaving his girlfriend behind. The abandoned girlfriend was so upset that the actor stopped with the scary stuff and walked her outside and smoked a cigarette with her while she broke up with her boyfriend in the parking lot.
Other haunted house performers went on to share the times they broke character, including the time a guy actually got scared shitless.
