Jay Leno wants you to know that he wasn’t “beaten up by the mob.” The longtime late-night host was recently a guest on Bill Maher’s Club Random podcast, where he addressed the rumors that have been circulating online after he took a 60-foot tumble down a Pennsylvania hill back in November. Leno told Maher that if he was indeed in deep trouble with the mob, they would likely just take one of his many vintage cars. 

But at least one Twitter user isn’t buying that story — regarding Leno’s comically large black-and-blue face, he said that Leno straight up looked like “the Sopranos had (him) in one of them cartoon clouds where you only see hands and feet getting thrown.”

Lucky for Leno, though, he was far from the only one taking a figurative beating on Twitter this week. Other digital burn victims included vegetarian restaurant offerings, Zillow listings and a generation “mogged at birth.”
