100 of the Funniest Tweets of 2024
2024 had no shortage of headlines.
After nearly a decade away, Jon Stewart made his triumphant return to the Daily Show, which was such a hit that he extended his contract through December 2025. Despite Simpsons showrunner Matt Selman saying that “Simpsons predictions are now meaningless,” yet another of the show’s plot points became reality when Cypress Hill joined the London Symphony Orchestra on stage. Kaitlin Olson headlined ABC’s most-watched new series in six years, forcing normies to finally acknowledge her greatness. Larry David actually ended Curb Your Enthusiasm after 12 seasons on HBO, while SNL celebrated the big 5-0 with returning cast members and unexpected breakout stars. And from Happy Gilmore to King of the Hill to Good Times, the year proved to be big for sequels, reboots and remakes — to varying degrees of success.
There was also no shortage of true comedy gold — and it was all available in the palm of your hands. They pitched an idea for six more Halloweens, invoked the panic of having to print something and even strung together the single greatest sentence ever.
On that note, here’s a collection of the funniest tweets that kept us going in 2024.
