Next year, Marvel will deliver a new Avengers movie: Avengers: Doomsday. While it’s still far away, it became a trending topic on Twitter this week—and not for the right reasons.

Earlier this week, Marvel confirmed Captain America’s return in the new movie, and while Steve Rogers is a beloved character, many people saw the move as a bit desperate on the producers’ part.

“Missing alleged thunderbolts members, yelena being on sam's team, bucky potentially getting killed off... avengers doomsday is already a MESS” one user wrote.  

While everyone is losing their minds over the leaked trailer, fans aren’t nearly as excited about bringing back a character who already had a perfect ending, and arguably doesn’t belong in the new MCU. ‘It is VERY EASY to choose a lead for Avengers: Doomsday. Yet they chose a character who got the PERFECT ending six years ago,’ another user wrote.

I guess we’ll have to wait and see what this movie is all about.
