It's wild to think that for much of cinema's history, films were just in black and white. I imagine that it was terribly frustrating sometimes, as a filmmaker, to come across some beautiful landscape or build a colorful set knowing that its full beauty could not be captured on camera. It must have felt like a whole new world when technicolor was introduced and became the norm.
I guess Hollywood got a little tired of all the color because it seems like every movie and TV show these days is horribly desaturated and near black-and-white … But I digress. The following film facts are in full technicolor!
