It's not an ambitious way of life, but it's also pretty safe and free of any risks. Problems start to arise when you have to think for yourself and be responsible for your actions and their immediate consequences.
Some people aren't ready for all that, but they have to do it anyway, and that's when disaster happens. Unprepared people with poor judgment are all around us, pretending they're smart and they have everything figured out, and we tend to believe them. Consequences don't take too long to hit us in the face, and it's too late to blame anybody. You just gotta deal with it.
