‘who up wondering why’

Billionaire-hating Bill Burr has completed his heel turn, and took to his podcast to praise the Saudi Royal Family for giving him the opportunity to perform at the Riyadh Comedy Festival. “It was a mind-blowing experience,” Burr said in the newest episode of Monday Morning Podcast. “Definitely top three experiences I’ve had. I think it’s going to lead to a lot of positive things.”

After praising Saudi Arabia for being “normal,” which he attributes to the presence of Burger King and Starbucks, he continued congratulating himself for being brave enough to “push boundaries” by accepting the terms of censorship he was obligated to adhere to.

In less surprising spinelessness, Jimmy Fallon came forward to tell us what we already knew: He won’t be getting political. While his colleagues respond to the ongoing threat of authoritarianism, Fallon is content to shill for brands and stay silent. In conversation with CNBC, Fallon explained that The Tonight Show “tries to make everybody laugh,” and claimed that he’s simply following in the footsteps of Johnny Carson.

Over on Twitter, people have backbone and a sense of humor to match. Today’s funniest tweets include those about an allowance negotiator, an injection we all need and a picture idea for Batman and Robin.
